Tampa Photographer with Clinical Expertise in Newborn Safety & Child Development

Capturing Tampa’s Stories with Heart and Intention

Portraits for Maternity, Newborn, Family & Couples

I’m Tina, a Tampa photographer specializing in maternity, newborn, family, and engagement portraits for modern families who want to preserve the moments that matter most.

I came to photography through an unusual path as a Certified Neonatal Therapist with NICU experience and Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist specializing in infant feeding.

When I picked up a camera over five years ago, I brought that clinical expertise with me. The result? I'm a Tampa photographer who understands infant state regulation, feeding cues, toddler behavior, and child development in ways that fundamentally shape how I approach every session.

This isn't just photographer knowledge. It's medical-grade safety standards combined with child development expertise. Creating sessions that are safer for newborns, calmer for toddlers, more comfortable for families, and result in museum-quality heirloom artwork you'll treasure for generations.

Your Baby is in Expert Hands.

(And so are you.)

Photography sessions with me are calm, baby led, and rooted in safety first. As a certified neonatal therapist and speech language pathologist with NICU experience, I understand how to read a newborn’s cues and support parents in those early, often overwhelming days. My approach is gentle and never rushed. That means no forced poses, no pushing through fussiness, and no compromising on comfort or safety.

For family sessions, my Pediatric SLP background means I understand child development at every age from toddlers who won't sit still to teenagers who'd rather be anywhere else. Sessions feel structured but relaxed, and even family members who don't love being photographed know what to expect.

How I Got Here

From Clinical Settings to Camera

My career in healthcare took me through diverse settings including working with children in schools and outpatient clinics, adults in acute care hospitals, pediatric patients, and eventually specializing in NICU care as a Certified Neonatal Therapist. Along the way, I deepened my expertise in infant feeding as a Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist.

Each setting taught me something different: how to read subtle cues, how to work within developmental stages, how to communicate clearly with families during vulnerable moments, and how to prioritize safety while building trust.

When I transitioned into photography, I didn't leave that expertise behind. I applied it.

I realized that the same skills that made me effective in clinical settings translated directly to photography:

- Reading infant cues means I know when babies need breaks before they get upset
- Understanding feeding schedules means sessions work with your baby's rhythms, not against them
- Knowing safe positioning means every newborn pose is medically sound and developmentally appropriate
- Understanding child development means I work with toddler behavior and teenage communication styles naturally

This clinical foundation creates sessions that feel calm, unhurried, and safe—while producing artwork that's anything but clinical.

Why I Love Being a Tampa Photographer

Tampa is full of light, color, and life from the golden Gulf sunsets to the Spanish moss-draped oaks in our local parks. I love photographing families in their favorite places across Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Clearwater, finding the spots that feel like “you.” Every session is a chance to tell a story you’ll want to remember forever.

my PHILOSOPHY

Sleep in, Show up /

Four Day Weekends

Prioritization is Key /

Hustle soft, lounge hard.

Late Nights, Luxe Life

When I picked up a camera over five years ago, I didn't leave my clinical background behind. I applied it.

I create photographs that hold emotion, meaning, and memory, so when you look back years from now, you don't just see how it looked, you feel how it was. Whether that's the anticipation before a baby arrives, the tiny weight of a newborn in your arms, the joyful chaos of family life, or the quiet love between two people.

My NICU and Pediatric SLP training shapes how I work- safer newborn sessions, calmer toddlers, comfortable teenagers. Combined with museum-quality products and personalized styling, you get an experience, and artwork, that reflects the boutique, full-service approach Tampa Bay families expect.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: How far in advance should I book?

A: I recommend booking maternity and newborn sessions during your second trimester to secure your preferred date. Family and engagement sessions are best booked at least 4–6 weeks in advance.

Q: Do you travel outside Tampa?

A: Yes! I photograph sessions throughout Tampa Bay and the surrounding Gulf Coast, and I’m happy to discuss travel for special locations.

Q: Do I have to buy artwork?

A: Premium digital files are available with every session. However, I prioritize museum-quality physical products because your memories deserve more than a scroll on your phone. Most families choose collections that include both prints for display snd digitals for sharing.
